The little bug that could

Well this week has been quite eventful so far.  On Tuesday I was dropping Ava off at my Mom's house before work and all of a sudden she threw up everywhere. This was the first time she really threw up so I of course went into Mommy mode and was trying to figure out what to do.  I put a call into the pediatrician to see if I needed to bring her in, and while waiting on the call back, she threw up again so I just went ahead and made an appointment. We went in, and poor Ava was just laying on our shoulders the whole time. Yes, the same Ava who is so independent, even her hugs last less than a second. She was just laying there the entire time. So pitiful!
So they decided to do a urine sample and prick her finger for some blood work.  If you thought she was pitiful before, now she was REALLY pitiful. She was a trooper though.  We left an hour and a half later with "its just a virus", which was good and bad. Nothing to be concerned about, but absolutely nothing we can do to help her. So we literally just laid around with Ava the whole rest of the day -- watching Baby Einstein, cartoons, sleeping, etc. She did NOT want to be put down at all.
She's gotten slowly better over the last couple days and today is playing more than she has all week. Still some 'symptoms' though which have put quite a hurt on our diaper supply.
Well last night that little bug decided it was Chad's turn. He started in that evening and around 1 I started. Talk about a fun night. THANKFULLY Ava slept through the entire night so at least we were only dealing with one thing at a time. Chad and I are both off work today sitting at home sleeping and taking sips of water and gatorade. My mom (aka: lifesaver) has A over at her house so we can take it easy.
Here's Ava's little band-aid that they put on her finger. PITIFUL I tell you!
