Mobile Monday!

Ok after this post I am not making any promises that Mobile Monday will continue EVERY Monday -- I will try my best to keep up with what I can but I will have a newborn and a toddler, and no sleep so we'll see.

New big girl booster seat for the dinner table! (ps - Mimi she LOVES that bunny rabbit. She carries it around everywhere!)

Trying to get ava to 'smile' - instead she said the word smile and apparently spit out some drool on her chin at the same time.

Mom Hair

Well I did it. I gave in finally and got my hair cut. Scratch that, I got my hair CHOPPED. I decided with a newborn and a toddler, shoulder blade length hair just wasn't something I wanted to mess with.

It took me literally 2.5 minutes to dry my hair. Really -- I timed it. I feel I look more like a 'mom of 2' now so maybe that'll stop some of the weird looks I get from people. Probably not, but one can hope right?

Baby Free Weekend!

This past Wednesday Chad and Ava drove to Tupelo to meet Mimi and Poppy. Why? Ava was going to spend the week with the grandparents! We were going to pick her up Saturday. This gave us time to kind of get things ready for Lexi that we have been procrastinating on (talk about last minute, she comes NEXT WEEK). We cleaned a lot, rearranged some rooms, washed lots of laundry and baby items, etc. We are capable of doing this while Ava is around, it just takes about 3 times longer :)
Ava had a BLAST from what I heard. She got to go to the zoo on Friday and fed the giraffes! She rode the train and just had such a good time

That is the picture they sent me on their way home from the zoo. What a sweetie. I'm so thankful to have in-laws that take such great care of my girl!

Chad's birthday

One thing I got Chad for his birthday was a trip to Atlanta to see the Brave's play during their opening weekend. We headed to Atlanta Saturday morning while Gigi and Poopaw got to watch Ava Saturday and Saturday night! We first went to Ikea (how can you go to Atlanta and NOT go to Ikea?) and picked up Lexi's dresser.

We of course got a few other items, but nothing big. Just how can you pass up a $0.70 glass plate? You can't. And we got a couple. We got a quick bite to eat there, and then we headed to Turner Field to watch batting practice. It was a very nice day, very sunny and no too hot! The Brave's won and although it wasn't a very eventful game, it was extremely fun. Nice to just get away for a day!

First Haircut

This weekend I went with Ava to get her first haircut. It was just getting out of control haha. I was really nervous because of how ... spirited she can be sometimes. But guess what? She was an angel! I sat down in the chair with her on my lap facing me. She was smiling and laughing the whole time. Held still for the girl and everything. After she finished she even clapped. She LOVED getting her hair blown dry - sat there and made "aww" noises the whole time. Guess we have a little diva ahead!

She didn't do much to it, just trimmed up the sides since they were about an inch and a half longer than the rest of her hair, and made it less "poofy". Here she is showing it off!
